With technology taking center stage in our lives, the idea of disconnecting has never been a more inviting concept. Norwegian architect, Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter, who also happens to be a phenomenol landscape architect and his design firm which is based Olso has erected an eco-hotel where visitors leave the wired world behind. Called 48°Nord, it is comprised of 14 hyttes, built using Passive construction, each with Alsatian wood covering the facade. The cabins come in four styles accommodating families down to those of us how are physically restricted. Located somewhere between the Alsace and Vosges regions of France, the cabins are cleverly built on stilts inserting their presence without disturbing the surrounding nature. Have a look.
