When the first thought of the day is about sex, it makes you wonder what goes on in her pretty little head the rest of the day. Apparently, sex dominates her thoughts regularly. “I think I am sexier every day, naked and in bed.” This statement arouses me; I am at full attention as I convey this interview. Like her photos, our angel today is edgy and boundary-pushing. Surprisingly sex isn’t all she thinks about, it’s usually just what starts her day. Somehow between thoughts of sex, she entertains her idea of heaven on earth. “That would be the place where all fantasies come true.” Hmmm… sex and fantasies.

It was a chance encounter that started it all. “I got into modeling when I met a photographer while I was grocery shopping one day,” says the sexy angel. “I remember that she was this friendly woman with a full sleeve tattoo and she was really into my look even though we just met. She and I became friends immediately and we kept in touch until a year later when she asked me to pose for her portfolio. My first photoshoot ever was in a bikini at a beach and it was a dream come true. It was from that moment in which I discovered my passion.”  That passion landed her with us in Angels Playpen, where heaven is always just a decision away. Influenced by manga, Anime and Japanese rock, Yan crafted her look to be edgy and provocative.

Becoming a model brings a lot of changes to the lives of so many girls who take the plunge. “I think ever since I became a model, I have a better understanding of human nature, particularly men,” says Yan, “I also redefined things like relationships and happiness and that those things are not what adults and school have taught me when I was a child at all. It's completely different.” Her choices brought her to us today, so none of us regrets any decisions she’s made. “Nope. Zip. Zero. I regret nothing I've done in life. I wouldn't do it any other way. I'm not saying I've always made wise decisions but even with the mistakes I made, I wouldn't change it because I see it as a learning experience and I grow from those mistakes.”

It’s important to know what separates you from your competition. “I would say what makes me different than other models is that for one I don't do drugs,” explains the Asian beauty. “I don't smoke and I barely drink. I am not a party or a club person. I don't go out too late at night and I much rather go do something purposeful like learning a new skill like how to sew a jacket. The other thing that I think is different about me is that I have no tattoos or body modifications aside from one piercing from each of my earlobes nor do I ever plan on getting any tattoos or body mods.” It’s also very important to learn your lessons concerning the industry as early as possible. “People in the industry make all kinds of promises but they don't always and usually don't follow through.” This is what I learned too, a very disappointing fact.

When she isn’t modeling Yan likes to hit the gym. “It's my natural high,” she confesses. “I also like to play video games from time to time but due to my busy schedule, my consoles are greatly ignored. I also like designing and coming up with concepts for my photoshoots.” She isn’t one of those models found at all the events and nightclubs, she rarely parties.

My questions are the same as usual, so of course I asked what she would love to see happen in this world. “Good question,” she answers, “I think I would love to see acceptance in this world. Meaning everybody will accept everyone for whatever they are and not judge them negatively or make any double standards in opinions. In other words, I wish people wouldn't judge someone if they are gay, transgender, fat, skinny, tall, short etc, or they would pull double standards in favor of one gender over the other. I think it's too much hardships in the world already to be petty on things like poking fun and claiming a guy is "gay'' just because he was in the gym shower with another man even though he's telling you he isn't into men.”

Looking for the magic about her that attracts so many admirers; I ask what she thinks that is. “I think guys like me because of me and my body,” she says with a laugh. “Most of my fans are guys. I do know there are some girls out there but not sure of their opinion.” Indeed most of her fans and admirers are men yet some find her unnerving. “I have been told that I intimidate men but I'm not really sure why. I am not mean to them. I will admit that I do have high standards so maybe that in itself is intimidating?”

If she and I were to become friends and I did something to make her upset, she tells me what gift to give when asking her forgiveness. “I think it really depends on what you did to me but I would say no gift and no amount of apology can really fix something that made me really upset. I feel that if you and I became close, you wouldn't think of doing such a thing.” Her words ring true, within lies a quite wisdom I absorb graciously. Perhaps she would let me send her on a trip. No one turns down a free vacation. “Tough to choose one location,” she offers, “but it would have to be a tie between Japan and the Scandinavian region.”

To keep in shape, Yan works out seven days a week spending up to two hours a session. “It's hard work,” she says, “but its well worth it.” Its well worth it to get compliments about how good you look and what great shape you’re in. None of these compliments are likely to make her blush. “I don't think I ever blush,” she says, “but if he and I were dating and he said something really sweet to me, I might.” Of the guys she would date, he would need a good face and body, good personality and be good in bed.” On a date, please pay attention, Yan does not like to feel neglected. What does she notice first about a guy? “I would say face and blue eyes. I have a thing for blue eyes.”

Loyalty is something we value in an angel, Yan is most loyal to, “myself and my beliefs,” she tells me straightforwardly. “I would never change my beliefs or the way I look or just how I am for anyone else. I've been told countless times that I need to be a certain way in order to be better accepted in the industry or in society in general. I refused to change them and I will always refuse. Why would I want to be accepted for what I am not?” Thankfully she believes in a friendship between man and woman.  What’s better than having a sexy friend of the opposite sex. “I have good male friends. In fact most of my friends are guys anyways.”

Last but not least, this world we seek to escape needs an angel. What would Yan love to see happen in this world? “Good question,” she answers. “I think I would love to see acceptance in this world. Meaning everybody will accept everyone for whatever they are and not judge them negatively or make any double standards in opinions. In other words, I wish people wouldn't judge someone if they are gay, transgender, fat, skinny, tall, short etc, or they would pull double standards in favor of one gender over the other. I think it's too much hardship in the world already to be petty on things like poking fun and claiming a guy is "gay'' just because he was in the gym shower with another man even though he's telling you he isn't into men.” Well said, angel.
