This 5BR/5BA large, historic landmark-home offers a secluded, lush setting with a pool in Downtown Austin. The house is tucked into Judges Hill, Downtown Austin's historic garden district. Set on a limestone bluff among estates dating from the mid-1800s, this one-story, midcentury modern home is framed by lush grounds and centuries-old oaks.

A primary home during winter and spring, the home is furnished as such. The main house offers four bedrooms, two kings and two queen, and four bathrooms, two en-suite. Each bedroom enjoys views of the private grounds. The luxurious master has a 6-foot jetted tub and separate shower, and overlooks a secluded lawn. An office and two desk spaces with comfortable chairs cater to those mixing work with pleasure. A disc player system complements the living room grand piano. The whole-house and outdoor sound system has an iPod jack for your music. The attached apartment has separate entrances and includes a fifth (king) bedroom, en-suite bath and a full kitchen that opens onto a living room. A passage door to the main house can be locked for additional privacy. The main house has a large, fully equipped gourmet kitchen –perfect for hosting intimate events, and a dining room that seats as many as twelve. (Please ask our property manager about private chefs). You can also fire up the natural gas grill on the screened porch, and use the fire pit to make s'mores. This truly is your luxurious oasis. You won't need to leave the house for entertainment, though. The historic library at the west end hosts an amazing game room with a billiards table, a wet bar and a home theater with a 125” screen. Outside are the pool, spa and wooded gardens to explore. And the screened porch overlooking the pool is a really great place for a nap!

It's just nine blocks southwest of UT (yes, walk to the games!), 12 blocks north of Whole Foods' flagship store and 11 blocks west of the Texas State Capitol. A perfect home base for exploring Austin, you're also a short walk from the Blanton Museum, the Ransom Gallery, the Bob Bullock Texas State Museum, an IMAX Theatre, House Park Stadium, the AT&T Conference Center, Pease Park and some wonderful food. Casual neighborhood restaurants such as The Clay Pit and Austin Land & Cattle are a brief stroll away, as are fine dining options like Carillon, Wink, and Ella's. Downtown Austin is just 18 blocks square, which puts you close to the Hike and Bike Trail, the bat bridge on Congress Avenue, hip Eastside restaurants and Austin's world famous 6th Street entertainment district.
